The
European Fund Data Infrastructure, FundConnect, launches a Global Fund
Processing Passport data solution now being offered to German fund
groups, providing increased visibility and market availability for
FPP’s.
The solution is free of charge and will include, among other features, web publication on FundConnect’s information solution. Additionally, distribution of FPP’s to a WM Daten, among others, is possible through FundConnect. This is logical if a fund group subscribes to WM Daten’s FPP data service, which facilitates the German domestic distribution of FPP’s.

FundConnect
is proud to announce that J O Hambro has recently become an active
part of the FundConnect data infrastructure. The service provided consists
of collection of daily NAVs from JO Hambro’s
fund administrators, performing quality control on the data, and then
distributing the NAVs to a series of recipients in their proprietary
formats and according to specific delivery instructions. The list of
recipients includes media publications, data vendors and a European
stock exchange. The solution encompasses the Hambro Dublin and UK fund
universes and was implemented within two weeks. In this instance FundConnect
has teamed up with Ptarmigan Media, who handle the media buying side.
IFR, The Danish Mutual Fund Association has elected
to expand its cooperation with FundConnect by entering an agreement for
the implementation of a new Industry Solution. The solution will comprise
of a browser-based statistical platform that allows the Danish fund groups
to conduct market-wide comparison and analysis on market flow statistics,
return and risk figures, and peer analysis for fee structures.
The solution will consist of a data collection portal in which the fund groups will receive free access and can update all of their Fund Processing Passport information, where it is stored in FundConnect’s centralized database. The Fund Processing Passport data is then extracted from the collection portal and presented as fact sheets on the IMA’s webpage in a customised format and their own corporate design.

FundConnect has developed a new Web service consisting of fund lists, Web-based factsheets and PDF-factsheets for Nykredit Invest. All of the Web Solutions are updated in an automated fashion, where data is transmitted from the centralized database of FundConnect’s subsidiary, the Danish Mutual Fund Data Infrastructure, FundCollect. Because Nykredit already maintains all of their fund data with the Fund Infrastructure, the Web service provides an extremely effective data flow, where data resources are limited and data consistency is ensured.

FundConnect is responsible for the monitoring of fund data from a variety of sources including Nordea’s internal business units, as well as external fund providers that are represented in Nordea’s product range. This centralized data-hub solution will form the data backbone for a wide range of data services for the Nordea Group.
The fund pages of Nordea’s Nordic web-sites will be provided with daily updated price lists and the funds will be displayed in interactive fund fact pages and PDF fact sheets with an information level that supports national industry standards. Challenges in terms of language versioning and currency exchange are to be solved via FundConnect’s advanced multi language and multi currency module that allows the individual Nordea business units to present fund data in the specific languages and currencies that their customers require.
FundConnect has been chosen as a preferred partner to develop and maintain fund data on Jyske Invest International’s multi-currency funds list and PDF-factsheets. The new web solution supports Jyske Invest’s increasingly International marketing approach.
