The European Fund Classification

The European Fund Classification is the only fund classification structure that is owned and managed by the fund industry itself, without being influenced by any particular singular commercial interest.

The EFC Forum is formed by a group of fund management companies and representatives of the National Fund Associations. By pooling their expertise, the EFCF members reach a mutual understanding of the difficulties involved in fund categorization, and accelerate the convergence towards a common European standard.
